If you fancy trying your hand with a bow and arrow, sign up to our beginner's course. We provide all the equipment you need to learn, so there's no need to buy anything beforehand. Our highly experienced coaches will take you through all that you need to know to shoot safely, as well as accurately.
East Belfast Archery Club typically runs three Beginner's Courses throughout the year. They require six Thursday evening sessions (which last 1 1/2 hours) to be fully attended. At the end of the course, you will have become a Novice Archer and will be eligible for NIAS/Archery GB membership which will allow you to become a member of any club in the country.
Please note that the required minimum age is 10 years for our beginner's courses.

Before joining the club as a full member, you will need to have completed an Archery GB accredited beginners course. East Belfast Archery Club provide this tuition under the guidance of our own qualified level 1 Coaches.
The course lasts for six weeks. Course fees are payable in advance and are non- refundable. Head to the contact page to ask for details of our next beginners' course, and to be added to the waiting list. Once you have completed a beginner's course, you will have the option of joining the club.
Archery GB membership is required for insurance purposes, and allows entry into formal competitions.

We welcome members interested in many aspects of archery, and a variety of bow styles are shot at the club, from traditional longbows and barebows to recurve and compound bows.
We shoot all year round, at the Tullycarnet Community Centre for indoors Monday and Thursday, for outdoors we affiliate with the City Of Belfast Archers based at Boucher Road, Belfast. Tuesday and Thursday nights.
